Crop conditions remain favorable near Murdock, Minnesota, although Jesse Olson of J & O Seeds said another rain would help finish the crop. A late-July rain of about three and a half inches helped the soybeans, which “helped save our butts.” Some growers have treated soybeans for aphids after populations reached or approached threshold levels. Olson said the crop currently shows few signs of moisture stress, aside from some lighter soils.
