North Dakota Congresswoman Julie Fedorchek wants to see changes to make the H-2A guest worker program more useful for farmers and ranchers. “This program provides vital farm workers for a lot of the farmers in North Dakota,” Fedorchek says. “There’s tweaks that need to be made to make it work better for them and to help them give them the labor they need to continue to grow and produce really high-quality food to feed the American people. ”Fedorchek met with producers near Carrington to hear concerns about finding and retaining agricultural workers.
