North Dakota farmers and ranchers can request more time to remove hay bales from Conservation Reserve Program land. The extension request can be made by contacting the local Farm Service Agency office. Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak raised the issue after meeting with farmers and ranchers near Dickinson. They told Fedorchak the short deadline creates problems during harvest and, as drought increases the need for livestock feed.
