Year-round E15 could provide a significant new market for North Dakota corn. NDSU economist David Ripplinger highlighted the economic impact during an E15 roundtable in Fargo. North Dakota’s corn industry generates an estimated $7.3 billion in annual economic activity and supports nearly 19,000 jobs. The state’s five ethanol plants use about 210 million bushels of corn each year. Nationwide year-round E15 sales could increase ethanol and corn demand. E15 is also offering savings at the pump.
