Steve Sparby says the wheat harvest is beginning in the Grygla, Minnesota, area, and overall crop conditions remain encouraging. “We actually have a pretty nice-looking crop out there.” Wheat quality has varied by soil type, with lighter soils having lower test weights and heavier soils performing better. “Overall, we’re pretty happy with what’s going on,” Sparby said.
