Timely rainfall has helped crops hold up near Grygla, Minnesota. Farmer Steve Sparby says wheat harvest is beginning and overall crop conditions remain encouraging. “We actually have a pretty nice looking crop out there,” Sparby said. “We just started a little bit on the wheat yesterday.” Wheat quality has varied by soil type, with lighter ground seeing lower test weights while heavier soils have performed better. “Overall, we’re pretty happy with what’s going on,” Sparby said
