The former sideline reporter for NBC Sunday Night Football is Minnesota’s Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate. Michelle Tafoya won 80 of Minnesota’s 87 counties, easily defeating Republican endorsed Adams Schwarze. “My team and I are thrilled because tonight’s results show that our message resonated across Minnesota in every county, that it is time to send the career politicians home,” said Tafoya. “As happy as we are tonight, I’ve got to tell you, we’ve got to wake up tomorrow and the real work begins. This Senate seat is open with Minnesota Senator Tina Smith not seeking reelection.
