Minnesota’s primary election is in the books, setting the stage for what will be a closely watched general election in November. Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan will be on the ballot for Minnesota’s open U.S. Senate seat. “For months now I have been telling you that this campaign was about the many versus the money.” Agriculture was mentioned in Flanagan’s victory speech. “(We’re) passing right to repair so that Minnesota farmers can fix their own damn equipment and getting rid of prior authorization so that some dude behind a desk or worse yet, an AI bot, isn’t determining whether you get the life-saving health care that your doctor has prescribed.” Flanagan received 59% of the DFL vote in her race against Congresswoman Angie Craig. Craig will finish out her term as the ranking member of the House Agriculture Committee, with the completion of the farm bill still on the chore list.
