DTN’s proprietary yield models are forecasting a national average corn yield of 178.5 bushels per acre and an average soybean yield 52.1 bushels per acre. Both figures are below last year’s record crop. DTN uses vegetation index maps, USDA crop progress reports, growing degree days and other information to make this forecast.
