Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins is making a stop at Minnesota Farmfest. The USDA leader will address the audience in the Wick Building at 10:10 Tuesday morning. With it being an election year, candidate forums are also on the Farmfest schedule. “On the first day, we’re going to cover the 1st and 2nd congressional districts in the morning and switch gears to the 6th, 7th and 8th congressional districts in the afternoon with the incumbent candidates and their challengers,” said Forum Coordinator Kent Thiesse. “The middle day will be a big day. With Governor Walz not running for reelection, we have an open governor’s seat this year. We have the governor candidate forum Wednesday morning. In the afternoon, same thing: we have an open U.S. Senate seat and the major candidates will be there.” The timing of these forums is important ahead of the primary vote one week from tomorrow.
