Badland Batteries, a Fargo company owned by Packet Digital, is expanding domestic production of high-performance drone batteries. Marketing Representative Matt Sather said construction is underway on a third facility dedicated to battery cell manufacturing. “When it’s finished, we’ll be the only business in the U.S. that can design batteries, build battery cells from raw materials and assemble batteries for drones all in one place,” Sather said. “That’s a pretty big deal when it comes to supply chain security and national security.”
