Quarles said funding must be delivered through USDA programs that producers can actually use. “It’s not enough to allocate the money but then create a bunch of eligibility hurdles which prevent folks from accessing those dollars.” Quarles added meaningful, accessible relief is critical for family farms facing ongoing financial challenges.
