The new president of North Dakota State University has been getting a lot of windshield time. Marshall Stewart attended all of the NDSU Research Extension Center field days over the past two weeks. “You’ve got great infrastructure, great talent here with the agricultural scientists, the research and Extension specialists that really do the work and are just incredible,” said Stewart. “That speaks well for North Dakota with the commitment to agriculture, and we at NDSU are glad to be a partner with you on that.” Stewart’s goal is to shift to areas where NDSU can be excellent and distinctive. “That’s built around making sure we give the highest quality experience to students. We’re also committed to research that’s second to none, advancing it through technology transfer and commercialization. And finally, there’s Extension, extending the institution through engagement.”
