FFA members from across the country gathered in Chicago for the National FFA Next Gen Conference, where students participated in industry tours, networking events and career exploration sessions. Summer Koch says the industry roundtables made the biggest impression. “It was really cool to talk with so many people who were really passionate about their jobs and willing to answer questions, especially as someone who’s getting ready to go into the real world.” The McCook Central, South Dakota FFA Chapter member says the conference also broadened her perspective on career opportunities. “I also gained a lot more insight into how many different careers there are in the agribusiness field that I hadn’t thought of before.”
