RDO Equipment is expanding its John Deere dealership network with the acquisition of True North Equipment. True North Equipment has eight dealership locations in North Dakota and Minnesota and two support facilities in Grand Forks. True North traces its history to 1897 when the legacy company began selling John Deere plows in Grafton. TNE owners, Dan Gorder, John Oncken and Scott Gorder, cited RDO as a business that shares the same commitment to family ownership. Fargo-based RDO Equipment has more than 85 locations across the United States and partnerships in Africa, Australia, Mexico, and Ukraine. Pending final approval from John Deere, the deal is expected to close on August 3.
