The Minnesota Turkey Growers Association presented the Ranelius Award to Representative John Burkel of Badger, Minnesota. The Ranelius award recognizes an individual whose lifetime of stewardship, advocacy, and exceptional service has left a permanent and transformative mark on Minnesota’s turkey industry. In addition to being a state legislator, Burkel is a turkey grower, served on the MTGA board and chaired the Northern Pride board of directors for five years.
