Corn planted acres held steady with the March estimate of 95.3 million acres, above pre-report expectations. Soybean acreage came in at 85.4 million acres, matching trade estimates. Corn stocks were below trade expectations at 5.29 billion bushels, providing some underlying support, while soybean stocks were slightly above the average trade guess at 1.06 billion. Total wheat planted area was estimated at 42.7 million acres, below expectations and down six percent from a year ago, the smallest wheat acreage in decades.
