Bayer has filed a petition with the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Commerce Department seeking anti-dumping and countervailing duties on glyphosate imports. The company claims foreign-made glyphosate is being sold in the United States for less than fair market value. The National Corn Growers Association released a statement, saying Bayer’s action is being done to benefit shareholders at the expense of American farmers.
