Stock indexes and the cattle markets continue to lead the way higher, while wheat and corn remain under pressure, according to Martinson Ag Risk Management President Randy Martinson. “The stock market continues to be one of the hottest markets right now,” Martinson said. “The Dow, S&P 500 and NASDAQ all pushed to new highs last week and, while they’ve backed off a little, they’re still trading near the upper end of their ranges.” Livestock also remains a bright spot. Martinson said both the live cattle and feeder cattle markets continue testing previous highs as strong fundamentals support prices.
