As farms rely more on connected technology, cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important. OT and ICS security specialist Kristen King says farmers should ask, “What happens to my data once it leaves the farm?” She encourages farmers to find out how their data is collected, stored and used. King also says some of the biggest cyber threats are the simplest, urging producers to “take a few extra minutes to verify” suspicious emails, texts and unexpected financial requests before taking action.
