AgMarket.Net is out with its estimates for Tuesday’s USDA planted acreage report. The brokerage firm expects a small change in the corn and soybean acreage numbers compared to the March Planting Intentions Report. The company estimates corn acreage at 94.9 million, down from 95.3 million in the March forecast. Soybean acreage moves up to 85.3 million acres, which compares to 84.7 million acres in the last report. Fertilizer prices are seen as a reason for a shift in corn acres, but the springtime rally in corn prices prevented the reduction from being more significant. AgMarket.Net made no change in the wheat acreage estimate.
