On Tuesday’s Crop Watch, RRFN caught up with Pioneer Field Agronomist Kristie Sundeen at Pekin, North Dakota. With the corn, “we are seeing some rapid growth syndrome that’s showing up right now; it’s just starting to unfurl.” Sundeen reports there was more late planting for this year’s soybean crop. “Most guys will say they’re moving slow, but the temperatures have been down so they’re going to move a bit slower,” said Sundeen. “We’re just starting to see IDC really pop up, especially in the (Red River) Valley region so keep an eye on that.”
