Farmers are increasingly sharing data with online platforms and artificial intelligence tools. Greg Sagedahl, Vice President of FinTech at Bushel, says the trend is growing. “Both sides, the farmer and the agribusinesses, are increasing their willingness to share data. We’re sharing scale tickets back to the farmers, as well as field locations and anything else around the farm.” He stressed that farmers maintain control over their information. “We only share the data if one side agrees to it and there are some things we don’t share unless you e-sign.”
