Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner Thom Petersen says securing permanent nationwide access to E15 remains one of agriculture’s top priorities. Speaking at the Midwest Ag Summit in West Fargo, Petersen said expanded ethanol demand benefits both farmers and consumers. “It would bring some surety to the market; that would help farmers and small towns right now,” said Petersen. “Consumers are saving anywhere from five to 50 cents a gallon when they fill up with E15 or 88 octane, so we want to continue that going forward.”
