A new technology platform called Crop Voice is helping soybean growers better understand disease pressure in their fields. InnerPlant Agronomy Director Bob Starke said the system uses fluorescent proteins to signal stress from fungal attacks, before symptoms even show up Starke emphasized the technology is designed to improve decision-making, not dictate management practices. “This technology allows a grower to make an informed decision. They understand what types of fungal pathogens are present in their field, and then they can decide what types of options they want to control those pathogens.”
