With three John Deere tractors serving as his backdrop, President Donald Trump hosted an agricultural roundtable event on Friday in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Trump said the United States would come out of the Iranian conflict very quickly. “Your fertilizer prices are going to go way down, just like they were four months ago; your fertilizer is down, your energy is down, your oil, your gas, is all coming down.” Trump ticked off a list of accomplishments, ranging from the elimination of the estate tax to the $12 billion Farmer Bridge Assistance program. The farm bill also got attention. “I think we’re very well on our way of getting the farm bill finished and approved.” Trump also repeated his support for year-round E15.
