The Surface Transportation Board unanimously accepted the Union Pacific-Norfolk Southern merger application. The STB rejected their first application in January, saying additional information was necessary. However, the STB is still asking for supplemental information on competition, public benefits, market share projections and other merger impacts. The supplemental information must be submitted by July 27.
