Peterson Farm Seed Sales Agronomist Brandon Van Den Einde says most farmers stayed with their original cropping plans despite market volatility and higher input costs. “Most of the changes that we were dealing with were coming during our sales season last fall or over the winter,” said Vanderheide. “Once they made that plan a lot of guys stuck to it.” With the heat seen this past week, crop condition changed quickly. “Yeah, we were kinda joking before we went on now things are gonna look way different here if you came earlier this morning compared to what you’re gonna see later today.”
