The United States imported a record amount of urea in March. At 2.7 million short tons, first-quarter imports were 42 percent above the three-year average. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the New Orleans customs district received one million short tons, up more than 90 percent above average. The largest share of those imports came from Russia.
