The Minnesota legislative session is in the home stretch. Minnesota Farmers Union Director of Public Policy Stu Lourey says important work remains. “The ag policy omnibus has passed the full Senate on a broad, bipartisan basis that includes some important provisions that are basically non-finance provisions.” Unfortunately, those provisions have stalled in the House. The reauthorization of the Farmer-Lender Mediation program is also a key focus.
