A vote on year-round E15 is scheduled to reach the House floor on May 13 as a stand-alone bill. E15 was very close to the finish line during the farm bill debate, but was pushed back again. Agriculture Committee Ranking Member Angie Craig pointed the finger at her Republican colleagues. “E15 is a good example. We could expand our domestic markets in this country today, but no, we’ve said, ‘Lucy with the football again on E15,’ we’re gonna take it away. Oh, we’ll come back in two more weeks, and the reporting is that they’re going to change the bill at this point. If you want to change the bill, change it back to my bill, which would allow for year-round E15 that actually would save money.” In a statement, Agriculture Committee Chair Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson praised the Biofuels Caucus and said he would join them in advancing the E15 bill in mid-May.
