Dairyland Seed District Sales Manager Keith Rekow says it’s still early, but there’s some field activity taking place in eastern South Dakota. “A little bit of fertilizer spreading, but the most field activity I’ve seen was around Watertown, just a little bit.” Rekow thinks planting will pick up within the next two weeks. “Looking at the forecast, some guys will likely be trying to get out into the fields by around the 11th of May, maybe some guys a little bit earlier.”
