Momentum is building for year-round E15, even as frustration lingers over delays in securing federal approval. Minnesota Corn Growers Association Executive Director Adam Birr says the push has been years in the making. “It makes no sense at all why we’re not there yet. I think the fact that leadership is talking about it, President Trump talked about it when they had the day celebrating agriculture. That’s really encouraging.” Birr says expanding E15 access could deliver significant economic benefits, especially in a major corn-producing state like Minnesota. “We’re at 142 million gallons, and that’s just in ten-ish years as we built the infrastructure. And now we’re at about 25 percent of the retail stations in Minnesota offering it, including a lot of high-volume stores. We have not maxed out what that market could do.”
