A funding bill for Minnesota’s Outdoor Heritage Fund has stalled in the House Legacy Finance Committee. A recommendation for $3.5 million for Phase 3 of the Roseau Lake Rehabilitation project was a trouble spot in Wednesday’s hearing. The Roseau Lake project is named in two lawsuits for allegedly seizing private property without offering compensation or going through the eminent domain process. Delano Republican Joe McDonald said lawmakers would be remiss if they didn’t pause and listen to these farmers.
