Goodhue livestock producer Brandon Schafer is the new president of the Minnesota Board of Animal Health. Schafer succeeds Erica Sawatzke of Kensington. Sawatzke, a turkey grower, retired from the BOAH after serving eight years as a board member and four years as president. Marshal veterinarian Dr. Jessica Fox was elected vice president.
