E15 gasoline demand continues to grow, but industry leaders say year-round approval is still needed. The Renewable Fuels Association reports E15 sales reached a record 1.52 billion gallons in 2025, up 23 percent from the previous year. Iowa led the way with a 60 percent increase, while Minnesota drivers purchased 169 million gallons. Lower prices and expanded availability helped boost demand, with about 4,600 stations now offering E15 nationwide. However, temporary summer waivers remain a barrier. Industry groups say permanent approval for year-round E15 sales could add nearly 26 billion dollars to the U.S. economy.
