The UN Security Council is scheduled to vote next week on plans to restore commercial shipping on the Strait of Hormuz. The vote was originally planned for Friday, rescheduled for Saturday and now the timeline has been pushed back even further. Chinese and Russian government officials agreed over the weekend to “adopt an objective and balanced approach” for the upcoming vote.
