The United States and Mexico have kicked off their first formal review of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. Rather than a North American deal, Mexico is worried about Trump Administration proposals to convert the current deal into bilateral agreements or open it up to annual reviews. Similar negotiations with Canada have not been scheduled. The current review process happens every six years.
