The New Civil Liberties Alliance has asked the federal court in South Dakota for a summary judgment to vacate the USDA rule requiring electronic ID ear tags for cattle and bison. R-CALF USA filed the lawsuit, claiming the 2024 USDA rule is an unauthorized and expensive mandate.
