USDA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have finalized a construction contract for a new sterile fly production facility in Texas. Minneapolis-based Mortenson Construction got the contract. This complex will raise sterilized New World Screwworm flies, which is seen as a proven way to get rid of the pest.
