The National Pork Producers Council and National Pork Board presented the Paulson-Whitmore State Executive Award to John Parker. Parker was the executive secretary of the Virginia Pork Council for 40-plus years. The award is named after the influential past state executives, Don Paulson and Rex Whitmore. Paulson spent two decades at the helm of the Minnesota Pork Producers Association.
