Sheila Ressler grew up on a generational cattle operation in St. Anthony, North Dakota. Being part of a family with deep agricultural roots, she is proud to be the fifth generation on the farm, with her children poised to be the sixth. This rich heritage has instilled in her a strong work ethic and a profound appreciation for the lifestyle that farming offers. Sheila shares, “There are little blessings that we really do take for granted in the lifestyle and the life that we grew up in.” After graduating from high school, Sheila attended North Dakota State University, majoring in agricultural economics with a minor in animal science. Her journey into the banking world later led her back to agriculture, where she and her husband began their own cow-calf operation in 2004. In 2012, Sheila became the director of appraisal at Farm Credit Services. “I truly enjoy trying to figure out what’s going on in the market,” Sheila says, highlighting the dynamic nature of her work.
