The Make America Healthy Again initiative supports the new Dietary Guidelines for its prioritization of red meat, dairy and saturated fats and criticism of highly processed foods. Jaffe Policy Consulting President Greg Jaffe said MAHA’s focus on crop protection products is a challenge. “They want the elimination of all pesticides, which I think farmers and a lot of other people would say would be impossible,” said Jaffe. “That has caused an interesting battle in the Washington DC area among policy makers.” Jaffe was part of the NDFU Evolution Ag Summit agenda.
