Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced Wednesday the implementation of the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Rollins said the guidelines will be applied “through rulemaking and education.” At the same time, Kennedy emphasized that, “in the months ahead, we will roll out a steady series of actions to reform procurement, to realign incentives and to expand access to healthy, affordable whole foods nationwide.” The new efforts are expected to influence federal nutrition programs, school meals, and public health initiatives.
