USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service has awarded more than $212 million through its Market Access Program and Foreign Market Development program. Checkoff programs provide matching funds to leverage the impact of the market development efforts. MAP funding includes $14 million for the U.S. Meat Export Federation, $6.8 million for the American Soybean Association, $4.8 million for U.S. Wheat Associates, $4.2 million for the National Potato Promotion Board, $900,00 for the National Sunflower Association and $851,000 for the U.S. Dry Bean Council. The allocations for Foreign Market Development programs include $7.8 million for the American Soybean Association, $4.6 million for U.S. Wheat Associates and $200,000 for the National Sunflower Association.
