Hearing Scheduled Over Potential Termination of Area II Potato Council

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has scheduled a hearing to discuss the possible termination of the Minnesota Area II Potato Research and Promotion Council. The checkoff board voted to terminate the research and promotion program and transition to a privately funded and operated producer organization. The public hearing is required before that can happen. The hearing will be held February 25 in Big Lake.
