NDSU Saddle and Sirloin Club’s 100th Little International Livestock Show is fast approaching. This year’s theme is “Living Shepperd’s Vision” which honors the legacy of J.H. Shepperd, whose work in agricultural education laid the foundation for the “Little I” event back in 1922. This year’s Little I Queen is Linnea Axtman, of Fargo, ND. Axtman is the daughter of Deneen and Ken Axtman from Fargo, ND and is a senior majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Ag Business and certificate in Professional Selling. “The selection process starts back in October. You put together a speech and give that to the club, then answer some questions on the spot, then there’s a panel of judges who go through applications. It’s a bit of a process, and we had a good group of girls running this year, so it was fun.” Princess Windy Jacobson is the daughter of Aaron and Shelbey Jacobson from Noonan, ND and is a senior majoring in Animal Science. Princess Montana Martinson is the daughter of Krishona and the late Chad Martinson from Otsego, MN. The Little International Livestock Show is February 13 and 14 at the Shepperd Arena in Fargo.
