Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has announced her latest political appointments. Doug Hoelscher is the new minister-counselor at the U.S. mission to food agencies in Rome. Hoelscher previously served as COO and chair of the America First Transition Project at the America First Policy Institute. Tate Bennett was named the principal deputy chief of staff. In Trump’s first term, Bennett was a special assistant to the President for agriculture, trade and food assistance. The new deputy chief of staff for operations is Hailey Ghee. Ghee worked at USDA during Trump’s first term. Mireya Brogen has taken over as the chief of staff for the Risk Management Agency. For the past seven years, Brogen has managed research and development supply chain risk at the Department of Defense.
