Benavidez Replaces Meyer as USDA Chief Economist

USDA has a new chief economist on board. Justin Benavidez previously served as the chief economist for the Republican majority staff on the House Agriculture Committee. He succeeds Seth Meyer, who now leads the University of Missouri Food and Agriculture Policy Research Institute.
