American Sugarbeet Growers Association Executive Vice President and CEO Luther Markwart plans to retire at the end of 2026. Markwart has been in the role for 44 years. In a statement, ASGA President Neil Rockstad praised Markwart’s legacy and leadership. The ASGA board and Markwart have been working jointly on his planned retirement for over a year to ensure a smooth transition. A search will start at the beginning of the year with Minnesota-based legal counsel, Bruce Kleven, overseeing the process.
