Protein Catalyst Launched in MN

A Minnesota coalition has launched a new initiative called Protein Catalyst. MBOLD, which includes the University of Minnesota, AURI, ag organizations and major food companies, is focused on expanding Minnesota’s role in creating and producing protein products. Coalition members will conduct research to promote innovation in animal agriculture and plant-based protein markets and share that information with others. Global protein demand is expected to increase by up to 50 percent by 2050.
